Head on a Stout???

So here we have a Stout and I’m not solid on whether the head should be like this or not. After some discussion the thought is that this is too highly pressured by CO2 and the head is “forced” into the brew. Sure tastes great regardless.

Autumn Amber Ale & Mixed Delight

Just started the Autumn Amber Ale that I picked up from Midwest during the groupon $42 sale, smelled so good while boiling, a little surprised the dry yeast became active very quickly..

I also started another 6 gallon batch of my classic Mixed Delight, as an experiment I squeezed the fruit juice in a press which gave me about a gallon and half of pure juice, instead of just blending it all in the blender.

Brew Club News

Brewed up the Honey Weiss last night and took on the Ferocious also.  Can’t wait for the Ferocious to be done.  Tons of hops in that brew.  Smelled awesome during the boil and into the last minutes of the process.  We started with 2 kits and boiled in one pot and then split to fill the fermenters.  10 gallons of each brew, should keep us in tasty liquid for a few weeks!!

Officers have been elected and are as follows:
